iBeacon Content Activation at the Buenos Aires Auto Show

Objective

Create meaningful connections with interested users within a defined area.

Approach

In order to reach out directly to interested users, we installed iBeacons in Renault models on display at the event.  We took advantage of Renault's on-site installation, featuring large TV screens and promotional displays, to promote the Renault Argentina app. When app users would walk by a model on display, they would receive a push notification with more info about the car ; they were also encouraged to share their impressions on social media. These social media mentions were then displayed around the Renault booth to encourage other people to participate.

Results

By implicating participants through its app and iBeacons, Renault was awarded the prize for best booth of the auto show. The innovative campaign also garnered significant attention in Argentine ad press.
