JAMES SHEPHERD JOINS FROM JAM AS HEAD OF MOBILE FOR HMG UK AND MOBEXT
London, 3rd August 2015 - Havas Media Group UK (HMG) has appointed James Shepherd as its new Head of Mobile for HMG and Mobext. Bringing with him a wealth of industry experience, Shepherd will be responsible for driving the development and delivery of innovative, business-building mobile marketing solutions across HMG’s client portfolio which includes O2, Pernod Ricard, Nationwide, BBC and Ubisoft.
He will report in to the recently appointed Julia Jordan, Managing Director, HMG UK Investment and Digital as well as Marco Rigon, Global Head of Mobext. In his new role, Shepherd will be tasked with building long-term, tactical and strategic growth, ensuring mobile capability runs seamlessly throughout Havas Media Group UK. Shepherd will play a crucial role in building on the HMG UK integrated client offering, and will work closely with the Group’s specialist teams in supporting Havas Media, Arena Media and Forward Media. His arrival will connect the mobile offering across the full breadth of Havas Media and Creative Groups in the UK ahead of the opening of Havas Village in 2017.

Boasting over 15 years’ experience, Shepherd joins HMG from creative agency DF London (formerly Jam@Engine) where, as Head of Mobile, he was responsible for leading the agency’s global mobile strategy across high profile brands including Santander, Sky and Samsung.
A proven senior figurehead, Shepherd has worked at prestigious shops including OgilvyOne and M&C Saatchi Mobile where he developed mobile strategy, campaigns and products for clients including: British Airways, American Express, Public Health England, BMW, Disney, Unilever and Coca-Cola.
